I made a home movie of some friends and family. I deleted it off my computer. Now i want to make a copy of the DVD that i created, but i only have 1 superdrive.

Is it only possible if i have a second DVD Burner, so that i can directly copy from the SuperDrive to the second DVD burner?

Or is their another solution??

Make an image of the DVD using Disc Copy and then use Disc copy to burn the image. I'm pretty sure Apple has a help item about this on their website.

wouldn't the disc image be too large? A DVD is 4 Gigs.

You can do that with Disc Copy? Cool. I've only used toast for it in the past on school computers.

Well, I'm pretty sure Disk Copy in OS 9 (6.3) won't do more than 2 GB images. Unless you went and found yourself Disk Copy 6.4, that's a problem for DVDs. OS X's Disk Copy has no problem with large images though. So maybe that's the concern...some people are still in OS 9, I guess.

Considering the original poster has a Mac that doesn't even boot into OS 9, I didn't think it was necessary to address that.

I realise that (obviously he/she's not in 9 anymore), but that could have been the reason he/she thought a DVD was too big to image. Lots of people are used to rules from 9 that they take for granted but no longer apply when they move to X. That's all.
