Who makes the Apple Pro Keyboard? I know Logitech makes the mouse but noone talks about the keyboard. And a follow-up question: Are the Pro Mouse and Pro Keyboard compatible w/ a PC?

Thanx in advance, Indigoimac

(Think it might be Mitsumi/Matsushita that make the Apple Pro Keyboard..? Have one, but it's up in the attic!)

The Apple Pro Keyboard will work with a PC, but only via USB - it will not work using a USB to PS/2 dongle. Some functions are lost; the ones I really missed when using it with my PC was print screen, and I ended up getting a Logitech keyboard.

Don't know about the mouse.

Apple's USB keyboards -- unless they have changed vendors, which is possible -- are made by Alps Electric.

The mouse will work on a PC, but it will require the HID (generic USB human interface device) drivers, which Windows 2000 will install automatically, and are preinstalled on XP. Dunno what happens if you plug it into something older.

I know that under Windows 2000, the volume keys on the Pro Keyboard work automatically.
