I have a quick question that I am hoping someone can answer. I know that the iPod can act as a portable hard drive, and I know that there is a PC version of the iPod.

My question is, if I buy the Mac version, will I be able to connect it to a PC to transfer files? This will be important to me for two big reasons. It will make my life much easier when switching computers, and I will be going back and forth between a PC in my office and my Mac at home. Thanks!

If you buy a new ipod they can go on both apple, and pc so you don't have to worry about what ipod you have as the older ones. And yes you can transfer files back and forth but you may need xplay for windows.

Kind of a 'lounge' statement, but I heard somewhere that Oprah Winfrey was a big iPod fan. I was flippin the tv channels today, landed on her show in time to see her give away a ton of Pods to the whole audience. Shweeet!
