Back when the discussions began about prolonging iPod battery life, everyone seemed to agree that, among other things, turning off the built-in EQ settings would help.

How about now, with the latest SW update for the iPod? Is it still an issue?

My favorite Fontopia earbuds seem a bit bright with my 'pod, and using the Bass Booster setting works wonders. But I don't want to use it if it's going to have a noticeable impact on battery life.

One more time...then I'll assume no one has a clue.

Any thoughts or opinions on this?

Thanks!

Hi there! I have had an iPod for a few months and I would say that the EQ makes no difference to battery life.

Cheers!

Thanks. Kind of what I am thinking. It shouldn't make any difference.
