I bought an Apple 17" LCD a few months ago and noticed something odd. If I let the screen sit for 5 minutes or so with the energy saver turned off (so it won't sleep) there is an after-image or ghosting that happens. Its like it temporarily burns the image of the desktop --or what ever window was open during the 5 min period-- onto the screen. I have never had an LCD before so here is a newbie question...Is this normal?

I’ve had my 17" LCD for 2 years, never had the problem you’re experiencing- nor have I heard of anyone with a similar issue. Make sure you get it checked out, I would not leave it the way it is.

hope this helped,
