I'm currently looking into buying a new pda and I'm leaning towards the clié peg tg50. I'm currently using a palm V 2MB and I have some trouble syncing it with iCal, Addressbook, Palm Desktop and my Sony Ericsson T68i. It works sometimes, but entries do get muddled up.

I assume that some of the problems lie in me not being able to ugrade beond Palm OS 3.3.

I heard that for syncing macs with cliés you need to download third party software but nothing more specific. has anyone got any experience with this? and does this software allow you to use all features of the clié? Can I use iSync?

Thanks for any help.

Yes you can use all the features. The software your looking for is The Missing Sync. Look for it on Versiontracker.

See my earlier thread on this.

Reportedly, the latest version of Palm™ OS allows for in-cradle syncing even without The Missing Sync™; further, the same holds even if you sync via Bluetooth™.

Here ya go.

Notice the small print at the bottom:

** To sync your Palm device, you must first have Palm Desktop 4.0 (or later) installed and then install iSync 1.1 Palm Conduit. In general, if your Palm OS device syncs to Palm Desktop on your Mac with HotSync, it will work with iSync.

I just bought a SJ22. I'll let you know what happens...
