I have a Sony Digital8 Camera. Is there software/drivers that will let me use it as a webcam?

if it has a DV (firewire) port, plug it in and load iChat AV. it should work.

If you prefer you can also use a program like EvoCam and run a web server off your own Mac. You can have the cam send a live continous stream or a pic updated at certain intervals. It'll let you share the image cross platform, the viewers just need java. As long as the cam is supported by iMovie, it's pretty much plug and play.
