I've had problems on and off with my current USB hub, a 7-port Belkin ExpressBus model F5U010, and I think it finally bit the dust as it no longer reliably sees some of the peripherals I have plugged into it.

USB seems to be a hit or miss issue with my Cube, as I've run into problems since OS 9.1 on it (I'm running Jaguar now). I'm looking for a recommendation for a USB hub with at least 7 ports (more would be nice actually) that is proven reliable and works well with the Cube (or any Mac for that matter).

Thanks!

In a related note, are there any opinions about the Griffin USB-Audio Hub ("4-Port USB Hub Optimized for Audio") and their marketing "After extensive internal testing showed that most USB Hubs failed to support USB Audio devices, such as the iMic USB Audio Interface, we did additional research which led to our own solution for a Hub that provided full USB Audio capabilities." http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/usbaudio_hub/

Does this product really provide better audio quality than other USB hubs?

I've got a Xircom powered 7-port USB hub that works great. Unfortunately it's purple, but I did purchase it online at a clearance sale.

I haven't had any issues with it during a year of use. I used it with my old PB 550 and my new PM 1.25 without any major issues.

Hope this helps!
