here's what I want to do:

archive whole days or months in one swoop instead of delete/archive one item at a time. June is over. I want to save it as is in Palm Desktop and get it out of my PDA. and I want the items to be archived to the day they were scheduled for if you see what i mean.

until I can do this I won't feel my tungsten is a substitute for my old daytimer.

if this is obvious sorry but I can't figure it out. Thanks for the help

ps I see there's an export function which will save all datebook items to a file. This sounds like I could save a permanant file but I'm still left trying to delete stuff one item at a time.

1. Switch to 1-day Date Book view

2. Open the menu bar

3. Choose Record -> Purge...

4. Select the age of stuff you want deleted (1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks).

5. Leave "Save archive copy on PC" checked.

The To Do list lets you purge completed items. The command is also Record -> Purge.

Thanks for the tip!

I'm finding things not totally intuitive with this system. Like you make a "note" on the PDA but it's called something else in Desktop.

Now let's see if I can get this cleared up.

Thank you. Where would I be without the continuing and generous help of members of this forum?!
