I have a question about firewire 800. I was under the impression that firewire 800 employed plastic optical fiber as seen under the IEEE 1394b spec. Someone told me differently today...namely that firewire will adopt the optical fiber for 1.6 and 3.2 Gb/s transmission but doesn't currently have it. Is that true?
