Move songs from Ipod to Itunes?

Recently I unfortunently had to clear my HD without backing up my music So it is all stuck on my IPOD and I know there is no way of taking the songs from the ipod to my ITUNES. I do have xplay on my other PC and it shows no songs in the song folder so? So does anyone know anyway I can put all my songs back on my Itunes without ripping them back on? It is a new 30gb Ipod

Search VersionTracker for a program that will do this. I used Escape Pod, and it worked fine except for the fact that it couldn't see my AAC files. The latest issue of Macworld recommends the following apps...

PodMaster 1000
Podestal 0.2
Open Pod 0.51
iPod Tracks to Desktop
Xpod 1.3.6

Again, search VersionTracker for these.

Josh recommends you use the Terminal, and copy the Music folder located on your iPod in the subdirectory iPod_Control to your hard drive. It requires about one minute of your time and requires no shareware.

Yea. Use the terminal.

ditto /Volumes/iPod_name/iPod_Control/Music/ /Directory_where_you_want_music_to_go/
