Am looking for a network-laser-printer. Just a decent one which will work flawlessly between windows- and Mac-machines. Maybe with rendezvous support?

My budget is somewhere up to $300 US.

It going to depend on how much you want to spend. The cheapest postscript laser that HP makes is the Laserjet 1300. The one I would recommend is the Laserjet 2300n. I do believe the 2300 does support rendezvous. The 1300 cost about $400 but the network version will probably cost about $600. The 2300n cost about $1000.

I just purchased an HP LaserJet 1300, and it does indeed use/support Rendezvous (at least it shows up under Print Center's "Rendezvous" section when connected to my AirPort Base Station). Dunno about the "work flawlessly between windows- and Mac-machines" part, as I am Windows-less. I would assume that with the right amount of research, this should work fine cross-platform.
The RAM is upgradeable too which is nice, although I just learned that it takes a 100-pin DIMM and not 168-pin, which all of my spare RAM is.
