Just ordered a SE t-610, hope to sync with my iBook using d-link bluetooth adapter.

does anyone know where you can get free downloads of wallpaper and themes for the t-610.

Mac-related themes would be cool, maybe a mac logo background, that sort of thing. any ideas?

btw - is syncing this phone with iCal a bit of a headache?

cheers

This site has themes and other stuff for the t610. It is in german but you will easily find the information you are looking for. There you can find also mac-related themes.

T610 World

I have not tried to sync the phone with ical. But the adressbook will sync without problems.

Enjoy your new phone!

Thanks for those links - already downloaded a few themes - even though I am still waiting for the phone to arrive.

I am thinking of trying out GPRS with the new phone. I can buy 1MB for about $5 or £3GBP.

This would send/receive quite a few e-mails, though I have one concern: what if someone sends you a huge message because they attach a picture or photo without compression.

Checking e-mail with GPRS is it possible to see how many messages you have to download, and how large they are, before deciding whether or not to download wirelessly on GPRS?

Obviously if someone inconsiderately sends a massive jpeg that would eat 500k or so, would I be able to tell, before using up my data allowance from my mobile network operator?

Question:

If you have the D-link adapter and using Isync can I move images,
themes or contacts into the phone?

Anybody know?

You can move themes and images for sure, but I'm not sure if its through iSync. My friend has done it and I'll ask... I get my bluetooth adapter to use on my mac sometime next week.

You do this via Bluetooth File Exchange (comes with MacOS). You can explore the T610 through this and move files back and forth.. VERY simple!

T610 came today. It is so cool. I configured email with my network provider. If you set to just download headings when doing a send and receive, you can see what new e-mail messages are available, who they are from, and what size, and then just download the ones you want. making that £3 per MB go quite a long way I should think. Mobile e-mail is just so cool.

Should be getting my Dlink adapter soon. can't wait to sync everything, although I have heard that there is an issue with iCal all day events and iSync to T610. Is it true that the T610 can't recognise iCal all day events? If so that will bug me, since all birthdays are listed as all dayers on my iCal.

The T610 is THE phone for the Mac user though.

On a related note, has anyone seen a 'good' OS X theme for the T610. The few links above reveal a few but they all seem to concentrate on the OS X icons, not the look of OS X (dock, menu bar etc.)

Ideas?
