Shipping in Sept.
It's the most flexible handheld to hit the streets to date (IMHO). I'm currently using a Sharp Zaurus but this thing will take the cake.

Take the tour, it presents the features in the best manner.
I particularly like both BT and WiFi and USB port. Tack on the bluetooth GPS and I'll be a happy camper (pun intended).

they're in Japan, the land where anything (electronic) is possible
i wonder why nearly all electronic companies are in Japan, but the large majority of software companies (video games are the exception) are based in america/europe...?

Hiya Alpha sphere!
I was in line as the store opened Saturday morning and rushed up to the 4th floor. There was another fella from Portugal over here actually doing some sort of an intern at Sony there at the same time who purchased this cute little machine ahead of me. I can say I was #2 to make the purchase there at that store, and happy of it!
Fine machine indeed, synching via Bluetooth with my 12" PB. Schweet. :-) Working on getting it to synch wirelessly... Not sure if it's possible to synch Palm wirelessly with the OS X Palm Hotsynch solution?
Surfing the web via my Airport Extreme is also... schweet! Though the browser balks at CSS at times. Great for browsing simple sites. Have yet to try surfing via hotspot outside of home.
It's VERY tiny, and very useable. The screen is very crisp, bright, and sharp. Bejeweled looks and SOUNDS fantastic, more so that my NX70 did.
The rest of the world will soon be able to get their hands on the UX50 next month, eh?
