Just read this BBC article, and it sounds a bit like the rumoured new Apple mouse features from those rumour sites (can't recall which site) just before G5 announcment.

Has Microsoft stole Apple's thunder??

Bah! If Apple does release a mouse with a different type of scroll wheel, it will be much better than anything MS could ever do. Yes, Apple has ignored the mouse as of late (their best one is still the ADB II), but if Apple decides to make a change with their mice, it will blow away anything MS could do.

So don't worry, MS is just doing what they do best.

I'm not so sure about that. The Bluetooth MS mouse i saw today was very comfortable and looks good too. Might be able to challenge Logitech's MX700 too. If i had a powerbook right now and in need of a mouse i'd go for the MS bluetooth mouse.

We'll just have to see what kind of mouse apple will come up with.
