If you think about it... what is Apple going to do to continue revolutionizing the iPod. If the rumors are right... it would be great to have audio record features in the near future.
However, what about the iPod itself. Cellphones, PDA's, and even Gameboys have proven that small devices can have color screens. I am not saying that a color screen would be revolutionary, yet it is what it could lead too... such as the ability to hook up an iSight and record video on the go. For example: bike helmet, conference, people you meet, or even a game at the park.
Additionally, iTunes now shows CD art. Why not the iPod? When a song is playing... a few second delay can switch over to to CD art, much like a screen saver.
Then there is bluetooth... will the iPod really go bluetooth. What will be the use... so much data to transfer will not allow it to work. Then again... wireless headphones and even a wireless remote may be what the world may demand.
You know... the trackpad on a iPod looks very similar to a rolldial on the old phones. Now all we may need is a firewire SimCard insert. No need to change the body chemistry of an iPod for a phone device because remember Bluetooth technology.
These are just things that I hope and dream of for the future of the iPod. Anyone listening? I hope so.

There have been lots of these threads already. If you're interested about what they have to say, do a search in this forum. The iSight thing is a new one.

And that would require a complete redesign of the iPod, or a new product entirely, as the iPod isn't currently designed to have the HDD constantly spinning.
I'd love to have a device that could be plugged into a digital camera to download pics. But I think I posted that in the pervious discussin on this.

One thing these post continue to show is that everyones ideal iPod, is not everyone else's ideal iPod.

I'd love to see (but it'll never happen) a much smaller, cheaper, solid state iPod "Lite". Let's say 256MB of flash memory, enough for several hours of music, obviously seamless integration with iTunes, beautiful small and light design. I love the current iPod but frankly it is just overkill and a bit heavy for what I want to use it for, which is for running. When you're excercising you don't need all your music with you dammit, you just want to be able to connect it to iTunes and instantly copy over a new playlist to use on your run or whatever.
