About a month ago I started a thread asking for recommendations for a car stereo headunit with a front aux input to use with my iPod. Well, I've finally got everything set up and wanted to display some pics for ya. I don't have any webspace, so I'm gonna link to one of my threads at a different site.

Special thanks to some members who started a thread about the iPod in a VW where I got the idea for the mount I used.

Tight, Man. Sweet interior on that car, too. Love that Pontiac-orange... Just not on a Pontiac.

That looks pretty good. Gotta love those decks that offer the mini-RCA plug!

looks great, but why not use the Belkin car adapter that charges the iPod and provides the better-sounding line out via the dock connector?

Very nice. Although I still prefer my VW blue over the Pontiac orange.

I too implemented ipod integration with my auto sound system in my '91 Civic Si. I mounted my iPod dock just forward of my shiftstick using 3M mounting squares (it's not going anywhere!), then I used the belkin cigarette lighter adapter to power the dock, and a gold-plated monster cable coming out from the dock, and running into the AUX ports in my Kenwood Excellon deck. It is great because the cables are all hidden, so it is really clean looking, and I just place my ipod in the dock, press play and bingo! The greatest car audio component EVER! (Also it looks awesome at night if i turn on the backlight on the iPod, as it sits just below my head unit (which displays the levels in full screen) anyway, just wanted to share cuz i think it's exciting.

Thanks, guys. Figuring out an easy way to use your iPod in the car is such a rewarding challenge. I would have used the Belkin had I known about it before buying the griffin powerpod several months ago. However, the powerpod works well enough.

Also, the interior lights of the car are actually red and the iPod backlight matches it very nicely (my fiancee drives a Pontiac, so I am familiar with the Pontiac orange). My digital camera must have been acting funny.
