Will blank DVD-Rs scale down like CD-Rs do? 4x media is so common now so I was wondering if it's fine to use on my 12" PowerBook.

Good job

I just flashed my firmware for my 12" as well, 16x CD burning, DVD-RW support and 2x DVD-R support. Sweet!

How did you do this? I'd be very, very keen to do the same. Is it the internal drive you're talking about?
