I have the 17 Studio display monitor with my G4, 400mhz tower. I have owned it about 3 1/2 years, and in the past few months have had some "jittery" problems. Sometimes the screen will start to go in and out a bit, as though the power is going off. The only thing that seems to stop it is when I restart my machine.

I plan on getting the new G5 about the first of next year with the new 20" monitor. Do you think this will hold up "til then?

Anyone else with this problem - and if so, do you know what causes it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kathy

youve got the CRT model, right?

i had problems similar to what you describe. since i had just purchased it, it was under applecare but i believe it was the power supply or some sort of power regulator going bad that made the display all wonky.

but mine started displaying those problems and went downhill rather quickly. its hard to say how long your monitor will be usable for.
