Hi all.
I'm considering getting back into the PDA game now that my schedule is about to get hectic. I've owned, at various times, a Palm Professional, a Palm III, and a Newton 2100. I've always been disappointed with PDAs, but that was primarily because I wanted them to be laptop replacements. Instead, I just bought a laptop, and now all is good.
I'm looking hard at the m130, since it seems to be a nice little no-frills organizer. Here's the scenario:
I have a Mac desktop at home, a Mac laptop that I carry with me everywhere, and a PC at work. What I'd like to do is be able to keep the palm in sync with all computers. I figure I can sync with my desktop in the mornings, isync all of that data, and then isync my laptop. Then sync the palm up with my windows box at work.
Is this do-able?
Also, I notice that Palm is offering bluetooth cards for pretty cheap ($129) that are compatible with the m130. Does anyone have any experience with these?
Finally, I want to avoid getting bitten by buying outdated hardware that will become more or less unsupported by the manufacturer as they move along. This seems to be what Palm is doing...moving everything to the Zire and T series units. Should I worry about the m130 not being able to take advantage of the new Palm OS?
Has anyone experienced any difficulties syncing the palm with isync/ical/address book?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers
Scott
