Wanting to hear from those that own (or have owned) a T|C - pros / cons.

Any other models you looked at? Want WiFi, not bluetooth.

Also, from those that follow Palm ... I know the C was just released in April and have heard that 3 new Palms are due in October - is it worth it to wait?

None of the new models will have wifi. The three models will be the Tungsten T3 for $399 that will have a 480x320 screen, 64mb of RAM and bluetooth. There will be a Tungsten E with 32mb of RAM and a 320x320 screen for $199. The last model is the Zire 21 for $99 which will be a replacement for the current Zire.

I owned a Tungsten|C for awhile (sold due to lack of use) and it was great...plenty fast, played color games (chess, Bejewled, etc.) great, and did a moderate amount of web surfing w/ ease. It had issues w/ cookies on complicated sites, but worked great for the simple mail check. It won't sync w/ Macs via's via WiFi. The speed/range of the WiFi was impressive. It was a bit pricy at first, however now you can grab a good deal on eBay...for a fully featured Palm, grab the C.

I have the Tungsten C as well.

Tons of space on it. I have approximately 10 shareware apps and about 5 pictures, and I'm only using 4% of my available memory (at least that's what Launcher X is telling me). I will keep adding pictures for a nice photo album.

The web browser gave me problems (it conflicted with some shareware I had), so I loaded the one that came with the Tungsten T and it works great. I bookmarked the same channels as Avantgo and check them whenever I want.

The speed of this thing is stellar. Of the programs I have loaded, I don't wait for any of them to load - they're just there when I tap on them.

I have wifi at work, home, and another home - so for me I can use it as often as I want - or as little. Quickly checking mail is nice too.

Anyway, I found the review at the gadgeteer really good. Here it is if you want to check it out:

Gadgeteer Review

Cons? I don't like having a keyboard, and I would like the unit to be smaller. Also, I don't like the way Grafitti 2 makes you use like 3 strokes just to get an exclamation mark; makes me wish for the old Grafitti.
