Faster scrolling with Pocket mouse?

Can anyone recommend a prefpane or app that will enable faster scrolling? I have a Kensington Pocket Mouse Pro with the retractable cord. It's an OK mouse but the driver sucks. I emailed Kensington and gave them some constructive criticism but that was months ago and there are no updated drivers available.

Is USB overdrive any good at fast scrolling?

I have a 12" ibook 800 (spanned to a 19") and get so frustrated with the scroll speed. Any suggestions welcome-
