hey all, does anyone know if i can use my ipod as a external hd to transfer files to a pc? or does it need to be formated for windows for it to show up as a external hd for them? i need to transfer a bunch of files to someone and this would be easier than burning a bunch of cd's. any info would be nice

I would imagine that the iPod would have to be formatted in FAT32. However, this makes transfer a LOT slower from your Mac -> iPod. IMO, best way to transfer files is over a network, or an ethernet crossover cable.
