I finally got fed up with my old mobile phone and with one month to go, bought a new one and signed up for a new plan. I was able to reduce my old plan to 19.95 for the last month, so it didn't cost me too much.

Anyway, I now want to sell my old phone. Should I just remove the SIM card? Even if I waited until my plan ended, the person who buys it would still need a new SIM card, right? So removing it doesn't really reduce the value of the phone?

Thanks,
kman

Do not leave your sim card in the phone. It is yours and has your data on it. The person who purchases the phone will either already own a sim card or will have to buy one from a provider.

Thanks. So I can go ahead and sell my phone even though I still have a plan as long as I remove the SIM card?

This was my first cell phone, so I'm new to the whole switching phones thing.

You keep the sim card. If you signed up with another plan form the same company, i'm guessing t-mobile, just put the sim card in the new phone and alot of your setting and stored phone numbers will be carried right over. If not then do what you want with the card but don't give it to anybody.
