I have placed a new WestDigital 40 gb drive into a Sony CD enclosure (usb1).
When I plug it into a friend's mac running 9.2 it pops up on desktop like it is supposed to do. Actually on 2 different macs.
When I plug it into my own 333 iMac running 8.6 ( 288ram, 6gb), nothing happens. System profiler is seeing the drive.
Any ideas??
