OK, this may sound stupid but is there such a thing as a Firewire port to USB adapter?
What I'd like to do is say to be able to plug a USB device into a firewire port. Aparently D-link has a sortof USB/Firewire HUB which might plug into either a USB or Firewire port, but a cable/adapter would be more convenient for me as I already have like 3 USB hubs.. Thx

No.

If you already have too many hubs (not that 3 hubs comes anywhere close to the limit allowed by the USB spec), you may want to look into getting a USB card, if you have a Power Mac or a PowerBook with CardBus.

The D-Link hub does not convert between buses, it's simply a USB hub and a FireWire hub in one box.
