iPod hard disk file deletion problem.

	I have a 30gb iPod that I use with 9.2 and OSX and also as a travelling hard disk. When I go to delete files off the iPod (in disk mode), they do disappear but the disk space available does not increase. I have rebuilt the desktop, reconnected the iPod and looked at the space available through the iPod Settings menu, but it all tells me the same... Any ideas?
