I know this should be such an easy thing to do. but for some reason, i've been having the hardest time trying to install my brand new 120GB western digital ide hard drive. i've set master and slave. i used the disk utility program to format it, but when i set my partition and hit format, i just get a message, unmounting volume or something similar to that and it just stays like that for hours. nothing happens. HELP please

I have the same problem with a WD 80GB drive in an external USB 2.0 enclosure.
