Can I use wacom tablet with multi monitor set up?

I use two monitors with photoshop and am considering getting an A5 intuos2.

How does the tablet handle two screens? Can I set it to only duplicate my 'drawing' screen and use my mouse for the 'palette' screen? Or will the one tablet cover both screens?

I have one tablet covering both screens.

can you set it to just cover one screen? can you choose which screen?
