Just wanted to chime in on the awesome warrenty program by Apple on the iPod.

I had purchased a 5 gig iPod last fall on sale at the Apple Website. The hard drive died on it (I guess..it just quit working).

I went thru the steps on Apple's website a week ago for warrenty service, and had to pay like 25 dollars shipping for a box to be shipped to me, and for a prepaid box to be sent back to Apple. I sent it in on Monday

Today, Friday, 7 days after my original ipod went bad, I have just received a brand new replacement 5 gig ipod from Apple. (original mechanical scroll wheel etc).

Very happy!!!!!! Thanks Apple!!!!

Were you still in warranty? I have a 10GB that is finishing up the 9 months, or is already out of it. I'm just a bit nervous, it has to last me at least until Rev. 4!
