What routers will work with my girlfriend's old G4?

My girlfriend has an old 400mhz G4. It doesn't have an airport card. It only has ethernet. My friend said she has to get 3rd party router specifically for it. Is he right? Would a regular linksys router or wireless router work?

Any router should work if set up already but since almost all routers can be set up though a web browser you shouldn't have a problem.
