I still say that the iPod will evolve into a portable storage device and player for both audio and video. We'll see a color screen, but it's use is mostly to preview the image like the display on a digital camera or camcorder. iPod will let you take your pictures, home movies, music, and data files to play or utilize on any computer, TV, or audio system. Why do you think it wasn't just called iTunes or iMusic from the beginning? I believe Apple has always planned for our little friend to be so much more than just an MP3 player. The ability to carry all yur essential entertainment and data in your pocket? Revolutionary!

I agree, but they're taking their damn time!

I expected to at least be able to offload images from my CompactFlash cards into it for storage by now.

And what's with the delay on being able to record? (It's apparently already built into the Gen 3 iPods - just needs an extra doodad.)
