does that exist as simple as:

Google for "Formac Studio" or "Televio" just look for it in the peripheral forum.

It does not turn you display into a TV tuner, but it turns you computer into a TV tuner (i.e. the computer has to be on and running software.)

There are tuners which you plug in between your mac and the display. It works even when the computer is off. I 've seen this in these forums here but I couldn't find it now.
