I bought one of these after the new ones where announced for $449USD and I love it!



Anybody else loving their 30GB ipods?

Sorry, but they're just soooo old fashioned now...

Actually I'm listening to my 30 gigger right now, and sure for most people, it's more than enough space. Not for me though, which is why my 40GB model is arriving tomorrow! I had the opportunity to sell my currently model and upgrade to the 40GB for about $50, so I couldn't pass it up. But they're both great.

Love my 30 GB as well. I may get a 40 GB and use the 30 GB as a portable optical drive to do back-ups for the rest of my Macs.

Optical drive?

Anyway, you'd be a lot better off selling the 30GB and buying a dedicated firewire drive if you're just going to use it for backups, since they are so much cheaper.
