Has anyone successfully used a G5 with an iSight and iChat AV?

I received my new G5 1.8 today and hooked up the iSight camera. I downloaded iChat AV (v. 2.0) and installed it. Now, if the software is not running and I plug the camera in, iChat AV launches automatically (i.e. the software recognises the camera). However, iChat AV is telling me that I have no camera attached. In System Profiler, the camera appears OK.

When I use the same camera on a G4 iMac it works fine.

Port problem? Well, I get the same thing in both Firewire 400 ports, and an external drive seems happy in both ports.

A fundamental problem with 10.2.7 and iChat AV? Could be, but I don't see this reported anywhere.

Any advice?
Phil

I was just in my local Mac store and they had an iSight set up with a G5, and it worked perfectly. I didn't bother to see what version of the OS they were running though.

I think all the G5s run 10.2.7. I have also heard of other G5s running with the iSight. I must have some subtle glitch with my system. It's odd, because everything else seems OK. Dodgy RAM?
