Just got an email, I ordered a 12" Powerbook and 10Gb iPod on 9/16, and was quoted a ship date of on or before 9/19 for the iPod, and on or before 9/25 for the powerbook. The email reads as follows:

Due to an unexpected supply delay, we are unable to ship the following
item(s) by the date that you were originally quoted:

M8976LL/A, IPOD 10 GB-USA
will now ship on or before 09/24/2003

may even receive a shipment confirmation between the time we send this
email and the time that you read it.

I can only imagine they can't make the iPods fast enough - good news!
