	Hello, I was wondering if portable hard disk mode works when using the USB cable (or firewire cable for that matter)without installing the ipod software (or MusicMatch.) I know, I should have checked this on my computer before I installed the software. I want to move files around to my friends' computers but I do not want to install any iPod software on their machines.
