There was an offer I couldn't resist: a DVD 4x burner for 118 Euros. I know that 10.2.6 doesn't support it. Any news with 10.2.8 AFA support is concerned?

I wouldn't expect any major burner additions to the OS untill 10.3. Thankfully 10.3 is just around the corner.

Unless you have some developer friends with a 10.3 build, you're gonna need to wait untill Apple releases more info.

If what you say is true, please report back here! I need to buy a DVD-ROM/CD-RW for a buddy of mine, and he's planning on putting 10.3 on his machine. He's too cheap to spend the $120+ on a DVD-R, and DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo's are much cheaper.
I would love to know what's supported in 10.3

I have a Toshiba SD-R5112 installed internally in my Digital Audio G4 and in 10.2.8, ASP recognizes it as "supported". It's seen by Disc Burner and iTunes.
