Connected to my PB I have an external FW drive. It also is compatible with USB 2.0 so it has a USB 2.0 port on the back. I have too many firewire devices for my PB to have plugged in at once (it only has one port) so I use the extra firewire port on the back of the HD to plug in my iPod dock. I also have an iSight which can't be plugged in at the same time.
I want to know if I can use the USB 2.0 port to connect my iPod dock. Then I'd have the firewire port free for my iSight. According to Apple's website the USB 2.0 dock adapter only works for Windows PCs. I don't see why that is but I wonder if there's been anyone who's successfully used their iPod with USB 2.0 on a Mac. BTW, my PB itself doesn't have a USB 2.0 out (it has USB 1.1) so I figure the USB 2.0 signal will be traveling over to my firewire port anyway through the HD's firewire cable. Thanks!
Looking forward.
