Hi all.

My wife's Tungsten T is driving her nuts. It was syncing just fine with her powerbook a few days ago, and then POOF, every single time she tries to sync (either via bluetooth or through the cradle, either on her powerbook or her PC), the palm crashes midway through with this error:

Code:
Preferences.c, Line:266, Pref DB Open Error
Sometimes it crashes at other points (photos.db or some such).

I've not found any info on this in my brief search?

Any ideas? We've done a hard reset/wipe with no effect.

Cheers
Scott

Have you tried the following:

Do a hard reset of your device and before trying to Sync again move first the "Backups" folder inside Documents/Palm/Users/<your user> to somewhere else (DO NOT DELETE IT!!!).

This way, the HotSync software won't try to re-install everything you had on your Tungsten.

If it works this way, you can suppose is something you had installed.

i think a recent OSX update did something bad to peoples sync ability. ive been trying to install palmdesktop 4.1 on my ibook and the hotsync manager delivers some sort of error about the hotsynclib.ppc.

¿? I don't know. I have Palm Desktop v4.0 and I just recently updated my OS version to 10.2.8 and everything still works fine...
