I'm thinking of purchasing a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 22" monitor - model DP2070SB-BK to mate with a G5 1.8. The monitor comes with a 15 pin d-Sub signal cable. Looking at the G5 specs I can't see how the connection would work.
Help... can anyone fill me in on whether this is a simple connection or whether I will have to spend more money on different cables - or will this just not work with a G5??

P.S. I would probably buy an LCD display but I have young kids who like to poke at things like monitors!

Thanks:

OK,
I'll answer my own question. I found the following info in an online manual for the Mitsubishi DP2070SB:

For the Mac: Connect the Diamond Pro Macintosh cable adapter (not in-
cluded) to the monitor connector on the Macintosh (Figure B.1). Attach the
15-pin mini D-SUB end of the signal cable to the Diamond Pro Macintosh
cable adapter on the computer (Figure B.1). Tighten all screws.
NOTE: To obtain the Diamond Pro 2070 SB Macintosh cable adapter, call NEC-Mitsubishi
Electronics Display of America, Inc. at (800) 632-4662.

I note that the G5 comes with a DVI to VGA adapter for VGA video out. I assume this also would have to part of the connection.

It's wrong though... you don't need the Mac adapter any more (the last Mac to need it was the beige G3).

What you do need is either an ADC->VGA or a DVI->VGA adapter (since the G5 has both ADC and DVI connectors). I don't know if any one of those is included.

Thanks tooki!
The G5 does come with a DVI to VGA adapter according to the specs on the apple website- so your'e saying this adapter is all I would need?

Thanks people. As it turns out ---maybe its a sign --this monitor has turned up on the Dell Canada site at $100 off their normal price - plus free shipping. Just about about seals the deal for me!
PS: I was in Belgium a few years ago - beautiful beer - beautiful Bruges - Hope to go back sometime!
