Hmmm, just got off the phone. Apple says they're shipping with 2.0.1. So what's the deal-io with all this 2.0.2 business?

OK, I saw that someone else posted that their iPod came preloaded with 2.0.2 even though the disc had 2.0.1.

Same for me--ha-ha! I know that there wasn't any real difference between these versions, but I guess I got caught up in the whole need-the-most-recent-software craziness. But I'm lovin the blue backlight...

Word on the web is that 2.1 will be out by this winter, along with some new gadgets....

2.0.2 is only shipped on ipods that need it. They used a different part somewhere, so those ipods have 2.0.2. My 3G 10gb that I got about a month ago has 2.0.2....
