Yes, I'd like to go with Crucial (as it seems people having nothing bad to say about them) - but I need to get my machine up and running today. My options seem to be either Kensington or PNY, with PNY being the most available here in Chicago.

Does anyone have any experience with either? I believe the Ram I currently has has gone bad... my B&W G3 400MHz started to have problems launching apps (ACCESS and KERN_ issues) - even after a new Maxtor Hard Drive and ribbon purchased yesterday and only a fresh OS X 10.2.8 install and Apple app's plus Explorer and StuffIt. So, I can't think of anything but the Ram to switch.

Any reviews/advice of the above brands would be grrreat!

Thanks,
BD

Those are both perfectly fine RAM companies.

As for your problems... is it a Rev A or B blue and white? If it's a Rev A, and you added a new hard drive to the internal IDE controller, that's your problem right there.

Hey tooki,
It's a B... on the A I have I use a Sonnet Tempo ATA100 PCI card to connect the disks (reading about how their IDE controller is wacked).

Sounds good, I suppose I'll go with PNY, because of their rebates.

My local Mac dealer gets PNY RAM unless I specify otherwise, and I've never had a problem with it. My employer has hundreds of Macs from the same dealer, with the same RAM, and I'm not aware of any problems there, either.
