I need a simple and inexpensive ATA card to plug an additional HD in my BW G3. I see only the sonnet and Acard cards in most catalogs. Does any PCI ATA card wirk in a Mac?

I saw some half the price compared with the Acard. The money saved would buy me a new RAM module...

Thanx 4 the answer

It kills me too when I see ATA133 cards for PC's for so cheap. Unfortunatly you must buy a Mac card though. I have both an Acard based ATA/133 RAID card, and a Sonnet ATA/133 standard card. (The Sonnet card has a "Promise" based chipset)

Both work great in my G4 Quicksilver DP800. Both offer big drive support as well. I'm running 10.2.8 & 9.2.2

Mac compatable firmware on the cards? Every now and then you find a PC video card that you can "Flash" with a Mac version of the firmware. Turns it into a Mac Video card. I wonder if you could flash an ATA card.....
