Hi, I want to get a new bluetooth mouse, I know that OS X supports bluetooth but does anyone know if the Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse can be used with the powerbooks built in bluetooth capability (so I dont have to use an adapter on the back) ?

I'd buy an apple one but I reallly need 2 mosue buttons and a scroll wheel.

Thanks

it's not official but I do believe that people have mentioned using their MS bluetooth mice without problems that way.

Good luck!

Yep, I have read that M$ mouse does work with Apple BT, but you lose some of the extra button functions because M$ has not provided the drivers for these extra buttons. R and L and scroll are what seem to work out of the box. Belkin is releasing their mouse very soon, as I need a two button mouse and as it is supported, I plan on picking up this mouse. It's gonna go for something like $80, which I think is cheaper than the M$. I contacted Belkin support and they said 3rd week of this month. This BT peripheral thing is gonna be like USB was back when the iMac came out, it will be a little while before we see a lot of devices, but now that Apple has built it into many of it's product, I think we will see more stuff on the market in the coming months and definitely by next year.
