1 x Apple 20in LCD or 2 x 17 Samsung 172Ts
Any other recomendations would be nice. I need to stay under $1200 total.
I need to buy these this week.
I just bought a dual G5, man does it fly but my monitors look like crap. Currently I have 2 mis-matched 21" CRTs
I like using dual displays when i am working on word documents or websites as I have multiple things open and its easier to copy/paste if need be..
I will be using these for Website & Graphic Design.
I need to buy something fast but I am so far out in the boonies that I cannot go look at anything. This is why I am asking everyone's advise.

I say go for the Samsungs. Dual displays are so addicting. A 20" cinema display is very nice but two monitors will give you more room in terms of actual pixels. Those Samsungs come in four different finishes you know, you could match your G5-
I only read a few reviews of the 172T and they all were fairly positive. The cinema display is most likely a better quality screen but for the money, I would go with the Samsungs.

Does the color calibration of any other LCD match up with the apple displays?
I think this will be my deciding factor.

LaCie sells LCDs with hardware calibrators. Then again, you could buy a calibrator for any display.
As for Apple's LCDs... what's this calibration you speak of? Oh wait, I know: there is none. They're not calibrated, so it's not a comparable issue. Unless you buy a [costly] LCD with calibration, you're going to see similar color rendition across displays, as long as you limit yourself to high-quality models.
So choose whatever displays you like -- I'd go for two 17 or 18" flat panels.

Well, I just bought a Refurbished 20in Cinema Display from Apple.
I considered the formac 20in but when I buy a second display there would be a 7in gap between the two according to their sales department, this is just to much.
I'll post a full review of my new system when I get my monitor.
