I have been experiencing a problem with the mouse that came with my G4. It suddenly seems to temporarily lock up. Is this a driver problem or am I heading for a new mouse?

Did you ever find out what was going on with your mouse freezes? I have been using a Microsoft wireless (RF, not Bluetooth) for 1.5 months with no problems, until yesterday. It has started to freeze up for a few seconds at a time. Changed the batteries, but same problem. Wonder if this is a weird Panther issue...I've got 10.3.1 installed.

My MS Bluetooth mouse powers down every 5 minutes or so under Panther, I never used it under Jaguar so I can't tell if this is a panther issue. Is there any way for me to stop it from doing this or set it for a longer time?

It's not too annoying, but it can get in my way sometimes.

My G4 mouse was a hard wired mouse and it did finally die. I ended up buying a Kensington three button mouse and it works just fine. If I had to do it over again I would probably buy a Kensington Trackball. They come in USB or wireless.
