Stupid question.... what connectors are on the back of the G4 towers?

a DVI which connectors what just apple monitors and you need the DVI to VGA connector in order to connect PC monitors.

If I buy a Sony, HP, Viewsonic, or other flat panel, I assume it's a VGA, so it shoudl hook up to a G4.

Are there things I'm missing. Connectors that cost money?

It depends on what G4. For the current ones there is one ADC and one DVI as well as one ADC-VGA connector.

Most flat penels work better with the digital singal so then you use the DVI, ig you buy a budget flap panel or a CRT you use the ADC-VGA included with your mac.

Everything inluded to install any one monitior and quite a few dual monitor setups

In the begining of the G4 the computers had one VGA and one DVI connector then the ADC came in the summer of 2000 as I recall
