I'm new to Macs, and I just put my music collection in iTunes. It takes up about 6 GB. Do people really like their iPods? If I get one, what size? 10 GB, or 20? What else can I use it for?

If you like to listen to a lot of music, then yea, get one.

I would get the 20, just because the added value of the Dock and Remote. If you were to buy the 10 and a Dock/Remote, you would be paying about $370, almost as much as a 20.

you get the 40 dollar case too. So for the extra 100 dollars you get a 40 dollar case, 40 dollar remote and a 40 dollar dock, plus you get 10 more gb.

Now you might ask, do I really need those extra things. If you have the extra 100 dollars get it. If not don't

Get the biggest one you can afford. Very soon the iPod is going to be much more then a music player.

I agree, get the biggest one you can afford maybe you only have 6 GB of music now but you will have more soon (and you can always use it as an external HD) and who knows maybe the next software update will allow you to watch movies on it. Or a GPS attachment or you think of something I'm really just dreaming here.

If it helps, I have yet to meet anyone who owns an iPod (and I've met a lot of people with one) that regretted getting it. Everyone who has one loves it. I say go for it!
