I'm a recent switcher (to a 12" powerbook, from a 2ghz P4). I've got ample hardrive space in my windows machine, and I've got a HDD in there that was once dedicated to mp3 duty. I'd like to get the drive out of the PC and into an external enclosure for use with my powerbook. I've got a ton of music, but I certianly don't need it with me all the time. It would be nice to be able to take the music with me when I go on long trips, but I dont need it cluttering up my drive when I'm just out for the day.
Has anyone used a decent 3.5" HDD enclosure using either USB 2.0 or 1394, and if so what do you recommend? I'd like one that kind of matches the powerbook. Sleek and simple is a plus, and it seems like the only ones I can find are ugly grooved and multi colored plastic.
